The Jewel Heist

The festival centers upon the period in local history when Ithaca was a major hub of commerce in the region. Re-enacting a period dating from ca. 1860 to 1930, The History Center's Living History actors invite the public to participate in a mystery game centering around a jewel heist and a box of treasure hidden somewhere in the festival.

september 19thThe person clever enough to find it first will win a very special prize relevant to the area in its contemporary form. Another lucky sleuth, who solves the secret to the mystery, will win a showpiece black diamond necklace from The Jewelbox. Designed by local jewelry designer Micky Roof, this necklace is being created exclusively for the festival.
