The History Center in Tompkins County, the Ithaca Asian American Alliance, and Cornell University present a panel on Vietnamese immigration, settlement, and raising a family in Ithaca. The program will examine the lives of Vietnamese refugees who immigrated to Tompkins County at the end of the Vietnam War.

The event coincides with the visit of “Exit Saigon, Enter Little Saigon,” a traveling Smithsonian exhibit that will be housed at 215 East State Street, on the Ithaca Commons, from September 18th to December 4th. The panel is part of the History Center’s popular “History Café” series, which introduces the general public to people impacting daily life in Tompkins County.
