Ghost Walks and Historical ToursMonthly Saturday evening walking tours which take place around the full moon. The tour is a one-hour guided walk focusing on the darker aspects of Ithaca's past. Join us as actors pop out along the way to tell the stories of murder, haunting, and some of the more unusual occurrences that have occurred in local history. When: Monthly Saturdays closest to the full moon: May 29th Where: Tours meet on The Ithaca Commons, just outside the Ithaca Visitor's Center/Ticket Center located outside Center Ithaca Tickets must be purchased in advance from The Ticket Center Ithaca by calling 607.273.4497 or on-line at www.IthacaEvents.com. Tours require a minimum of 4 participants to run, therefore it is important to sign up in advance.
Haunted Halloween History ToursFriday, October 29th What: The History Center’s 3rd Annual Haunted Halloween History Tour. Taking the form of a one-hour guided walk of downtown Ithaca and its surrounding neighborhoods, the tour highlights selected sites of interest and the ‘ghosts’ who inhabited them, as the people and places of Tompkins County’s rich history are brought to life by a cast of actors, storytellers and other performers who appear along the way to highlight some of the more off-beat tales from local history. Where: Tours meet on The Ithaca Commons, just outside the Ithaca Visitor's Center/Ticket Center located outside Center Ithaca Time: Tours embark at 7pm, 7:15, 7:30 and 8pm. Cost: $13
