Visit The History Center in Tompkins County from 1:00-6:00 PM on Thursday afternoon, April 16, while OJI:SDA’ joins us to share tea, herbal knowledge, and conversation in the atrium. Enjoy a cup of hot tea and consider your connection to the natural world. OJI:SDA’ come ready to share how water and plants interplay with our community care.

This event is facilitated by OJI:SDA’, pronounced “O-gee-stat,” a local indigenous organization with a vision for a a world where Indigenous people are seen, heard, healthy and thriving, and the Earth is respected and cared for. This event is a derivative of their plant-care program.
This event is in collaboration with the 2026 Ivy Native Conference, hosted by Native American and Indigenous Students at Cornell (NAISAC), ““Plants & Our People: Rooted in Indigenous Community.” The conference aims to expose attendees to ethnobotanical knowledge, cultural preservation, and the intersection of both issues when navigating climate crisis as the original stewards of these lands.
