Open House at The 1827 Eight Square Schoolhouse

Join us for an Open House to explore the 1827 Eight Square Schoolhouse. The eight-sided brick building is a historic school house currently used for educational field trips for fourth graders across Tompkins County. The school house is typically closed to visitors, but on Sunday, October 11 from 2:00-4:00 PM the doors will be open for drop-in visits from neighbors, community members, students and their families. Join Jane Koestler, Youth Educator & Eight Square Schoolhouse Coordinator, and discover the history and culture between kept between eight walls.

The Eight Square School House is situated up a short embankment and the entrance is at the top of several steps. Parking is available on the street or across the road.
