HISTORY & HERITAGE MONTHS
The History Center in Tompkins County strives to explore diverse histories and experiences of Tompkins County in all of our exhibits and programming. Identity-themed "heritage months" are a powerful tool to highlight specific histories and draw attention to specific collections and archival resources we have available year round.
History and heritage months are a celebration of culture, community, and contribution to our shared region of Central New York.
Explore the pages and resources related to each history and heritage month by clicking on their icon. Pages will be highlighted under the "Events" tab during their month, but are available year round.
**Additional pages are being researched and designed now and will become available between 2021-2022. If you would like to help create these pages please reach out to us at community@thehistorycenter.net, or explore our other volunteer options here.
