Description

Breaking Ninety: A History of the Country Club of Ithaca 1900-1989 (by Julian C. Smith) Published by The Country Club of Ithaca, Inc., Ithaca, NY, 1990 This book grew out of a series of historical notes in the Club’s monthly publication Chip Shots. Assembling the material for these notes gave me fascinating glimpses into the early days of the club and raised many tantalizing questions. Since the Club is nearing its ninetieth birthday it seemed appropriate to record what I have learned about its rich history, so closely tied for many years to Cornell University and the village of Cayuga Heights.
