ITHACA LOVES TEACHERS EVENT

The History Center in Tompkins County has a wealth of learning materials available for educators! Tune in for this 1 hour virtual program and learn how to access and use our archival collections, activities, experiences, and field trip options with your students. This program is great for educators based in Tompkins County or who are teaching about the history of Central New York. 

Topics Covered:
      • HistoryForge database - 20th century census and building records for the City of Ithaca. 

      • Oral History collections

        • Holocaust Education Curriculum

      • New York Heritage Digital Collections

      • Video Learning Series

      • 1892 Eight Square Schoolhouse E-fieldtrip (Kids Discover the Trail experience)

      • History at Home - Activities & remote field trips

      • Introduction to Archival Collections

      • Youth Ambassadors program

Registration required, this program will occur over Zoom. Link will be provided after registration. Teachers who would like to watch the program but cannot attend the live screening are invited to register; a recording of the session and all related learning materials and video links will be provided following the program to all registered participants.
