IT'S THE FINAL MONTH OF reCOUNT: Facing our CensusreCOUNT is  closing to the public on December 30th. Be sure to visit The History Center before this expansive "local-in-the-national context" exhibit comes down. Explore the history of Ithaca's earliest Asian and Hungarian families in the 'Family Origins' tower. Consider the ways in which race, ethnicity, and racial bias over the centuries has skewed our historic understanding of diversity and immigration in our community. Discover what the census can teach us about shifts in industry and education. reCOUNT is a unique opportunity to explore the interweaving of built and human history that the local HistoryForge project has made accessible and searchable.

Discover more at thehistorycenter.net/reCOUNT and tompkins.historyforge.net. reCOUNT is open to the public (no admission charge) December 1st-30th W-Sat 10am-5pm (we will be closed on 12/24 and December 31st-February 2nd).

Join us for the public opening of Knot Sew Fast: Patchwork of Tompkins County on February 3rd!
