Present Conversations: Indigenous & POC Art Exhibit

WHEN: Present Conversations will be on display Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm from June 2nd-July 28th (Recently extended to July 2023)

WHERE: CAP ArtSpace Gallery (First Floor) in the Tompkins Center for History & Culture on the Ithaca Commons - 110 North Tioga St. Ithaca NY 14850.

Present Conversations is A Visual Expression of Culture and Art featuring a group of POC and Indigenous artists. The exhibit interprets the past, present and future through each artist’s unique culture. The June 2023 Show in the CAP ArtSpace Gallery features Al Tejera, Brandon Lazore (Onondaga), Cayetano Valenzuela, Cruz Newman, Loreto Molina, Priya Sirohi, Samantha Jacobs (Seneca), Suzanne Onodera, Travis Mammedaty (Kiowa/Seneca-Cayuga) and curating artists Michael Jon Morgan and Yen Ospina.

Present Conversations will be on display Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm at the CAP ArtSpace Gallery located inside the Tompkins Center for History & Culture (110 N Tioga St, Ithaca NY 14850) from June 2nd-28th. The exhibit opens on Friday, June 2nd from 5-8pm in collaboration with First Friday Gallery Night and Ithaca Festival (June 1-4).

The History Center in Tompkins County is serving as the fiscal and space sponsor for this exhibit and supporting the collaboration and organizing partners including Yen Ospina, Michael Jon Morgan Gallery, The Learning Farm, CNY Humanities Corridor, Eve's Cidery, Redbyrd Orchard Cider, and Open Spaces Cider.
